A Cosmic Complaint: Under my name in the Authors section of the excellent Paragraph Planet (https://www.paragraphplanet.com/index.php), but here’s the whole 75-word story: “A Cosmic Complaint. It bugs me that the light from a star that no longer exists is reaching me only now, and that some other star is just now sending out its light, though neither I nor the star will exist when that light arrives. It makes the universe an eternal disappointment. It also bugs me that none of my friends is ever bugged by such imponderables. They laugh it all off and enjoy themselves.“
